Franziska Gehm was born in 1974 in Sondershausen. She studied English Language and Literature, Psychology and Intercultural Economic Communications. After that she worked as a teacher at a grammar school in Denmark, changed to a Vienna radio station and finally worked as a children book editor. Nowadays she lives and works as a writer, translator and free-lance editor in Munich. Die wilde Lilly is her first children book series.
